It wouldn’t be a proper Wichita brew tour without a stop at my favorite brewery, Central Standard Brewing. In the two years that CSB has been open, they have successfully introduced Wichitans to delicious sours, saisons, and juicy IPAs. While I frequent this establishment on a fairly regular basis, for my Brew Tour stamp I attended a special beer release event to benefit a good cause.
Last month CSB released a Belgian pale ale to help raise money for League 42, which is a local youth baseball league that helps introduce inner city kids to baseball. The brew, called #42, was CSB’s first pale ale if I’m not mistaken and was a home run in my opinion. It was a refreshing and easy drinking beer that featured the fruity and floral hops that CSB loves to use. I apparently wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the beer as they raised over $3700 on the release day alone.
#42 is still on tap for those who have not experienced it or any of the other delicious brews at CSB.
